Job Summary
The Manager is responsible for various members of the Behavioral Health Team including BH Providers, BH Therapists, Nurses, and/or Peer Support Specialists in providing assessments, casework, treatment, and clerical services. The employee, under general supervision of the Director or VP, works within general methods of procedures and exercises considerable independent judgement to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. The Manager is responsible for patient care, management, program management, financial/budgetary, corporate duties as spelled out by Behavioral Health Director or VP, and clinical supervision. The work requires knowledge of personnel policies, procedures, and regulations of clinical services in regards to the overall programming of Behavioral Health.
Additionally, the Manager of Telepsychiatry provides strategic planning oversight and partners with operational leadership for all Telepsychiatry services through out the Novant Health Organization. Standardizes quality indicators for Telepsychiatry. Partners with BH leaders to provide Telepsychiatry through outreach, education of Telepsychiatry process and evidence-based processes. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve the patient experience as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of resource allocation. The Manager of Telepsychiatry, is responsible for developing and fostering long-term relationships with physicians, emergency medical services, emergency department administration and their staff, clinical educators, and telepsychiatry partnering hospitals (both Novant and non-Novant) in the Novant Health footprint as well as outlying facilities who partner with Novant Health.

- Education: Graduate Degree for Management of IOP/PHP and Clinics: Master’s Degree in counseling, social work or psychology; required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree for Management of Telepsychiatry, required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of three years Behavioral Health or comperable relevant experience, required.
- Prior demonstrated leadership, required.
- For Telepsychiatry: Data collection experience, outcomes research experience optmal; required.
- For Telepsychiatry: Knowledge of infromation technology and regulations related to telemedicine, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current LPC, LCSW or LPCS in appropriate state for Management of IOP/PHP or Clinics; required.
- Additional Skills Required:
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- For Telepsychiatry: has practical experience in the delivery of telemedicine services.
- Additional Skills Preferred: For Telepsychiatry: Ability to use databases to analyze trends. Ability to develop reports and educational programs.
