Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a compassionate, caring Oncology Surgical Advanced Practice Provider to provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.

Position Overview

• Surgical assisting in GYN oncology surgeries, including robotic and open procedures.
• Perform directed history and physical exam for GYN oncology patients.
• Evaluate and manage post operative patients.
• Evaluate and develop a risk management plan for patients at increased GYN cancer risk.
• Perform basic GYN procedures such speculum/pelvic exams, surveillance exams for cancer patients, and post operative visits.
• Provide education for patients receiving chemotherapy.
• Managing patients in active cancer treatment.
• Call patients with results of and recommendations from imaging and biopsies.
• Support inpatient management, as well as outpatient post operative visits, chemotherapy patient clearances, and cancer surveillance visits.

• Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating weekends and holidays to accommodate on call schedule(s).
• Supporting Locations: Cancer Institute Charlotte, with possible travel required to the Gastonia clinic.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree Required. Graduate of an NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Experience: One to three years of experience as a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider. Oncology and Gynecology experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA license in appropriate state Required. NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry Required. ACLS (if infusion center or cardiac specialty) Required.
• Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
