During this program the Intern will provide strategic support to the Novant Health team, and their assigned preceptor through projects, active participation in meetings, and educational opportunities to clarify interns’ professional goals and exposing them to various healthcare professions. - Education: Must be currently enrolled in high school and:
- Be in grade 9-12.
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation will be required (from a faculty member, coach, community leader, or employer).
- Must submit unofficial school transcript upon request.
- Experience: None.
- Additional Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility to respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Additional Skills Preferred: Intellectual depth, moral integrity, personal vision, creativity, leadership skills, fortitude, sincerity, and diplomacy.
