Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : NC or Compact license required by start

Certifications : BCLS preferred; ACLS and NIH preferred

Must-Have : EPIC experience required for first-time travelers

Job Description :

• Provide nursing care for medical and post-surgical patients with remote telemetry monitoring
• Must have skills in IV start, some non-titratable cardiac drips, and telemetry patient care, including knowledge of rhythms
• Work within target nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 6-7, with support plans in place for higher ratios due to unexpected staff shortages
• Potential for floating to other units with similar skill requirements
• Required to work every other weekend
• Orientation includes 12-hour unit orientation and 8-hour hospital orientation during the first week
• Hospital uses Pyxis, EPIS, SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication
• Must be comfortable floating based on skill set and census needs
• Compliance with flu vaccination requirements, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons
• Mandatory wearing of navy blue, white, or combination scrubs
• Completion of required modules pre-start and annually, performed online, through Zoom, webinars, or in-person classes

Please note that time-off requests must be approved and cannot fall during holidays, with a maximum of 7 days allowed, not including the first week of the assignment.
