What Are We Looking For?
UCI is currently looking for an RN to join our Corporate Health and Wellness team who will prepare patients for their visit. RN’s prepare patients by taking vitals, documents vital information from patient into EMR system, and performs blood draws, administers vaccines, and performs nasal swab testing. The RN will cross-train and perform the duties of a patient services representative (PSR) and will handle administrative duties to support the department.. They also assist with patient services duties at the front desk taking phone calls, updating patient demographics and offering outstanding customer service.
Do You Have What It Takes?
A good candidate will bring with them:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
- Experience: two (2) years of experience as an RN
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in South Carolina
- Active BLS or ACLS
- Willing to work at various locations throughout South Carolina and flexible to travel and complete overnight stays on a regular basis
- Experience with taking vitals, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration
- General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality
- Computer skills and knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with proper telephone etiquette
- Tactful and professional manner
- A team player and a self-starter. Able to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service skills both with patients and company contacts.
An ideal candidate would also have:
- Experience working with health and/or wellness events
- Billing and coding experience
