What Are We Looking For?
UCI is currently looking for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our team. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Corporate Health & Wellness supports their assigned region by attending various onsite Corporate Health & Wellness events as directed by the Corporate Health & Wellness Coordinator. The LPN prepares patient for visit, shows patient to treatment area, takes vital signs, performs blood draws, administers vaccines, and performs nasal swab testing. The LPN will cross-train and perform the duties of a patient services representative (PSR) and will handle administrative duties to support the department.
Do You Have What It Takes?
A good candidate will bring with them:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Experience: two (2) years of experience as an LPN preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in South Carolina;
- BLS or ACLS
- Willing to work at various locations throughout South Carolina and flexible to travel and complete overnight stays on a regular basis
- Experience with taking vitals, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration
- General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality
- Computer skills and knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Willing to work 12 hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with proper telephone etiquette
- Tactful and professional manner
- A team player and a self-starter. Able to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service skills both with patients and company contacts.
An ideal candidate would also have:
- Experience working with health and/or wellness events
- Billing and coding experience
