As a Production Planner, you'll coordinate the production process to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. You will manage schedules, inventory, and communication to ensure smooth production. Creating production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and production capacity. Coordinating with departments to ensure resource availability, including raw materials, equipment, and labor. Identifying and resolving production issues that may cause delays or quality issues. Maintaining accurate records of production data such as inventory levels, production output, and downtime. Analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize production processes. Forecast Accuracy Tracking Signals Knowledge - Have a solid understanding of production processes and supply chain management Experience - Be experienced in production planning and scheduling Skill - Be able to analyze data and make informed decisions Skill - Be proficient in using production planning software Skill - Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Decision Quality - Makes good decisions (without considering how much time it takes) based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; most of his/her solutions and suggestions turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time; sought tout by others for advice and solutions. Organizing - Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner. Planning - Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results. Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers.
