Summary
This job is responsible for basic visual, dimensional, and / or functional inspection of parts. Also, will provide first-level people leadership in a frontline setting. You'll help to coordinate and supervise the daily activities of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspection of parts
- Utilize CNC CMM, Formscan, Surface Analyzer, Air Gauging, Optical Comparator, Smart Scope (Vision System), Plug Gages, Pin Gages, Calipers, Micrometers, and tools used for Surface Plate Layout for inspection.
- Develop new inspection methodologies as required.
- Monitor need for new or replacement measurement equipment
- Compile and maintain inspection records
- Proactively seek productivity improvement opportunities.
- Discuss technical problems encountered with manager, engineering staff, or purchasing staff.
- Ability to plan own work schedule based on material requirements and skillset possessed.
- You will assist the Quality Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating the day-to-day work activities within the team.
