Business Unit Overview
The Continuous Improvement Leader will support Novanta's Cambridge Technology business. Cambridge Technology designs, develops, and manufactures innovative beam steering solutions, including polygon and galvanometer optical scanning components, 2-axis and 3-axis scan heads, scanning sub-systems, high power scanning heads, and controlling hardware and software.
Summary
The Continuous Improvement Leader enhances processes and infrastructure to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. You will be meeting with internal stakeholders, leadership and employees to identify and discuss key manufacturing operations processes that require improvement. The ideal candidate will deploy process improvement methods and focus on continuous improvement. Guide and train team of continuous improvement stakeholders to support business goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads Lean manufacturing initiatives which includes leading small group activities and Kaizen events for measurable improvement productivity.
- Identifies and shares best practices across the different departments
- Facilitate a culture of Lean thinkers and sustain operational excellence initiatives.
- Leading problem-solving activities for production, using root cause analysis
- Driving, planning and implementing improvement plans in process, methods of work, digitization, and technology infrastructure.
- Facilitating cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and manage changes.
- Enhancing employee engagement through the implementation of Lean culture and providing relevant training on Lean methodologies.
- Promoting profitable growth by developing and implementing Lean methodologies.
