About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Innovation Engineering to lead our global cross-discipline Engineering team across Celera Motion. As a key member of Novanta's executive leadership, you will provide strategic direction, drive business initiatives, and develop a world-class technical engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent business acumen, a deep understanding of the industries we operate in, and proven success leading large teams focused on delivering customer value through innovation.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead new product, technology, and sustaining engineering development across a multi-discipline global business unit
- Set strategic goals, identify growth opportunities, and drive business initiatives that deliver innovative, scalable new products and technologies
- Build and develop a world-class technical engineering team capable of executing today and tomorrow's strategy
- Analyze complex engineering problems, evaluate risks, and make decisions to overcome challenges and grasp opportunities

- Excellent business acumen and deep understanding of the industries in which we operate
- Proven success leading and guiding large teams focused on delivering customer value through innovation
- Ability to collaborate and influence effectively cross-functionally and across business units
