3-5 years of automotive product manufacturing quality experience

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB : To establish and maintain quality standards in accordance with customer standards striving for ZERO Defects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : These are duties that the person holding this job MUST be able to perform. The company makes accommodations on request, if the accommodations are reasonable, to allow otherwise qualified applicants to perform these functions.
Perform engineering studies, including product and process qualification, under the guidance of the Quality Systems Manager.
Reduce variation through the implementation of effective quality techniques.
Analyze data from studies and daily activities in order to create action plans for improvement and permanent corrective action.
Assist in the improvement of systems to increase efficiency, reduce loss, and achieve department and company goals.
Guide all departments in the creation and implementation of corrective / preventive actions addressing internal and external issues. Follow up on all open action items for closure to ensure effectiveness.
Participate in quality planning activities ensuring submission of new product for customer approval.
Develop and maintain supplier quality program, including the review of purchased part approvals and initiating activity involving defect issues.
