Job Description

We collaborate across scientific and organizational boundaries, with a focus on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients. Join the NIBR Postdoctoral program as a Postbaccalaureate Intern!

As a NIBR Postbaccalaureate Intern, you will be responsible for conducting an independent research project under the mentorship of a Novartis research scientist.

Your Responsibilities Include:

* Attend on-boarding and training sessions
* Plan, design and execute an independent research project as agreed upon by your Novartis scientist mentor(s)
* Attend Postbaccalaureate Intern professional development sessions
* Attend graduate school classes and/or seminars determined necessary to position you for a top tier graduate/professional training program
* Present your research project at a program poster session or conference
* Adhere to all Novartis policies

Minimum requirements

What You'll Bring to the Role:

* Have graduated from a US academic institution within 1 year of application
* Have a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
* Have a strong desire to pursue a graduate-level degree
* Are authorized to work in the US for any employer

The pay rate for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $22.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
