Come help us develop breakthrough medicines for cardiovascular disease! We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our in vivo pharmacology team in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic (CVM) Disease Area at Novartis BioMedical Research.
As an In Vivo Pharmacologist, you will work independently and collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary setting to execute experiments in preclinical models, analyze data, write study reports and give oral presentations to support drug discovery, while broadening your knowledge in the field.
This position will be located at Cambridge, MA and will not have the ability to be located remote.

About The Role
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, execution, analysis, and documentation of in vivo experiments
- Plan and perform pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies
- Perform biochemical analyses on samples
- Assist in data analysis and interpretation
- Present results in lab and department meetings
- Bachelors’ degree in relevant scientific field with 2 years of related laboratory experience or Master’s degree.
- Experience in handling, dosing, and phenotyping rodent models of disease, ideally with an emphasis on cardiometabolic disorders
- Proven expertise in In Vivo experimental design and execution
- Drug discovery experience desirable
- Experience with biochemical assays, RNA isolation, qPCR, ELISA and Western Blots highly preferred
- Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team of scientists
- Basic knowledge of statistics and experience with common statistical software for biomedical research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong written, oral and record keeping skills
