Job Overview:
NovaStar Express/NovaStar Family Medicine are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate X-ray Technician to join our team . The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures mobile x-ray machine to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with various medical conditions. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical imaging, a deep understanding of physiological principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct X-ray and other imaging procedures to capture high-quality images of the body,
- Operate imaging equipment
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and positioned correctly.
- Maintain patient records and documentation, including medical histories and diagnostic results.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide patient education and support to help them understand their diagnostic results.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as an X-ray Technician in a clinic or urgent care setting.
- Strong background in medical imaging and physiology knowledge.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Current certification in radiologic technology and CPR is required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of emergency medicine and diagnostic evaluation.
- Ability to work effectively in a PCP and urgent care setting.
- Strong understanding of physiological principles.
- Excellent patient communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
