Our clients are large scale industrial facilities that rely on us for our expertise and high-quality implementation of process control systems, information software, instrumentation, industrial networks, SCADA, measurement, inspection, motion, and state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 technologies.
Novate Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at our locations in West Sacramento or Merced, CA. This individual must have the ability to be client facing, have general awareness of multiple industrial environments and possess a background that applies electronics, mechanical and mathematical principles to research and develop advanced technology for the automation and controls industry. This role provides engineering analysis, as well as product properties regarding thermal, chemical, mechanical, electrical and optical properties. The ideal individual will be able to provide detailed documentation and reports and engineering recommendations. This individual thrives under pressure and excels in a fast-paced work environment with a variety of projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- 0 to 5 years of work experience in an engineering role preferably in the industrial controls engineering field.
- Ability to create accurate professional drawings from simple hand sketches.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and I&C schematics
- Proficient using AutoDesk products (Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 356 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse team both in person and remote.
- Team oriented mindset.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Able to travel both regionally and nationally.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross functional multi-discipline team to identify and evaluate enabling technologies to meet product and technology roadmaps.
- Develop, conceptualize mechatronic designs that are reliable, robust and serviceable.
- Provide and receive constructive design feedback
- Provides technical support to business development team for bids and proposals.
- Provides technical direction, serves as a point of contact or business liaison, and assists in problem resolution specific to a task or project.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to deliver superior work product.
- Complete detailed on-line timesheets daily and weekly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Preferable Skills:
- Experience with Industrial Controls
- Understanding or experience of machining and welding processes
- Basic understanding of Ethernet based networks.
- Solid understanding of current and past NEC code.
- Familiarity with industrial NFPA standards.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
License/Certifications:
