Job Summary:
Novatex North America is a family-owned company based in Ashland, Ohio with over 40 years of experience in creating excellent products for babies and children. Our facilities in Ohio and Germany distribute products throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing operations, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Production Schedule: Oversee the production schedule and monitor inventory levels to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with all quality standards, maintaining a focus on product excellence and regulatory requirements.
- Resource Management: Manage resources required to meet production schedules and company goals, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Performance Reporting: Regularly report production performance and product quality results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Process Improvements: Implement manufacturing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure that all standard operating procedures are followed to maintain consistency and quality in production processes.
- Employee Training: Identify employee training requirements and develop and execute training plans to ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Performance Management: Monitor and review employee performance, providing feedback and organizing improvement plans as necessary.
- Customer Support: Provide operational support for all customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintenance Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and ensure completion of all required maintenance for the production area, minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment reliability.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient operations across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a plastics or rubber manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
