This role is critical in delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and construction projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to create detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and ensure estimates align with technical and budgetary needs.
- Research and evaluate material costs, labor rates, and equipment expenses to develop competitive project bids.
- Utilize estimating software and historical cost data to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
Requirements:
Must have an understanding of MBS Software.
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Estimator or in a similar role within the steel fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
