Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Colorado Water treatment requirements and be proficient in the operation and maintenance of well houses and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that ourwater systems operate efficiently and in compliance with CDPHE environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Level 1 /D Operate and monitor water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of chlorine levels, equipment and systems, identifying any issues that require attention.
- Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on machinery, including pumps, valves, and other mechanical components.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, including flow rates, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Level 1 /D license with CCWP
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Proficient in basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates.
- Experience in water treatment highly desirable.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including tankers for transporting materials.
- Ability to plumb and maintain various components of the wastewater system effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
