Description
The Survey Office Technician works with the project development team to design and develop solar PV projects.
What You'll Do :
- Perform the necessary CAD drafting tasks to prepare preliminary and final drawings.
- Conceptualize and design in CAD, as well as communicate effectively within CAD using current industry standards.
- Prepare plans and sketches as directed by Land Surveyor (ALTA, easement exhibit).
- Perform survey calculations and prep files for field crews using Trimble software.
- Daily work researching county GIS mapping websites, FEMA mapping.
- Daily work inspecting section breakdowns, legal description writing.
- Utilize knowledge of regulations, development details and the organization of documents.
- Maintain accurate design and drawing archives and revision history.
- Complete work within the scope, budget and schedule
- Plan, execute and document projects.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members on all project work.
- Complete specific quality control tasks at the direction of the Land Surveyor.
- Seek cost savings through market analysis and eliminating waste.
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving under frequent deadlines.
