The Survey Field Technician works with the Land Surveyor and Crew Chief to perform field surveying and calculations in order to develop solar PV projects.

Responsibilities
- Assist Crew Chief with conducting field surveys for property boundaries, topography, GIS data collection, geodetic control, etc.
- Provide construction staking for site layout, structures, grading, paving, roadways, drainage features, etc.
- Locate boundary monuments and evidence of occupation.
- Collect and process field data to produce topographic maps for civil design, perform boundary survey. Calculations in the field using Trimble data collection software.
Requirements
Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as a survey team member.
- Ability to work anywhere in the state of Maine with frequent overnight stays up to 3 nights a week.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions in all terrain encountered in Maine. Enjoys working outdoors – especially in rural and wooded areas of the state.
- 1 years experience working on a survey crew or education in a surveying technology program
- Ability to operate Trimble survey equipment for collecting field survey data; preparing field notes in accordance with company and industry survey standards
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to drive company vehicle.
