Novel is working with boutique injury and employment law firm located in Sherman Oaks CA. They are seeking a labor and employment attorney with 2 years litigation experience. Experience with individual and class / PAGA wage and hour litigation preferred but not required.
Hybrid to start / fully remote workplace.
Job responsibilities include :
- Handling cases from inception to settlement / verdict.
- Reviewing and analyzing personnel files and wage statements.
- Drafting complaints / arbitration demands.
- Propounding and responding to written discovery.
- Meeting and conferring on discovery.
- Drafting motions and oppositions.
- Defending and taking depositions.
- Attending court hearings.
- Preparing trial documents.
