Position Overview :
The Medical Record Coordinator will be responsible for handling medical record requests, coordinating with hospitals and medical providers, and ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and reviewed. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, experience in medical records management, and pre-litigation experience specifically within a personal injury law firm .
Key Responsibilities :
- Open new claims and coordinate with medical providers to secure all relevant medical records and bills.
- Follow up with hospitals, clinics, and other providers to obtain missing documentation.
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary information is included for case management.
- Maintain organized files of medical records and ensure easy access for attorneys and case managers.
- Communicate with team members to provide updates on the status of medical record requests.
- Assist with resolving discrepancies or issues related to medical record documentation.
- Collaborate with the Medical Record Lead Trainer to implement best practices and streamline processes.
