A well-established personal injury law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and highly organized Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases, excellent case management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires experience in California personal injury law, a proactive approach, and exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities- Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial.
- Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands.
- Conduct client interviews and gather critical case-related documentation such as medical records, police reports, and insurance correspondence.
- Coordinate and track client medical treatment, ensuring timely follow-ups with providers.
- Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Prepare case summaries, demand letters, settlement evaluations, and trial preparation materials.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers regarding case status, demands, and negotiations.
- Handle lien negotiations and work with providers to facilitate reductions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in personal injury law in California.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of California personal injury laws and litigation procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research and case law analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with case management software (e.g., Needles, Clio, SmartAdvocate) is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
