Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need in La Salle, Livingston and Grundy counties. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including those with Alzheimer's , and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our Clients. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in fostering independence and ensuring the well-being of those you care for.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
- Support Clients with daily living activities while respecting their rights and dignity.
- Engage Clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each Client's unique needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for Clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Document care provided and any observations regarding Client condition or behavior.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for Clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia is a plus.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Understanding of senior care practices, including Client monitoring techniques.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to upholding resident rights and dignity.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings or weekends.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
