Novi Labs seeks a Director of Product Management to lead our product strategy and execution. This role is ideal for an industry expert with a strategic vision and a hands-on approach to product development. As the head of product, you will work closely with Novi’s data science and software engineering teams to develop compelling, data-driven products that address our customers’ evolving needs. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of Novi’s advanced analytics solutions, ensuring they provide actionable insights and unlock significant value for our clients.

We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment and is equally comfortable setting high-level strategy and diving deep into the details of user stories and product requirements. This position will lead product across Novi’s offerings, including our datasets, forecasting applications, and research subscriptions.

• Define product strategy and roadmap to align with Novi’s business objectives and customer needs.
• Develop detailed user stories, requirements, and product designs, collaborating closely with engineering, data science, and customer success teams.
• Engage directly with customers and industry stakeholders to gather insights, validate product concepts, and ensure market fit.
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Drive technical marketing initiatives, including product messaging, blog posts, and conference presentations to communicate the business value of Novi’s offerings.
• Work closely with sales and business development teams to support strategic initiatives and partnerships.
• Serve as a product evangelist, articulating Novi’s vision and value proposition to internal and external audiences.
• Lead Novi’s product team.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in unconventional Oil & Gas.
• Familiarity with common forecasting workflows and software.
• Strong understanding of Oil & Gas datasets, such as production, directional surveys, subsurface, and completions.
• Experience with data analytics, machine learning, or other artificial intelligence applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable product features.
• Product management experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak calmly, clearly, and confidently to customers.
• Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Preference for Austin-based candidates but will consider others.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events and support business development initiatives.
