What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Specialist position at Novi Ventures (NV)?
My client is currently expanding in the US due to their recent success over the past 18 months, they are looking for someone to join a growing commercial team as a Sales Specialist.
Their product portfolio is HPLC, LCMS, FT-IR, UV-VIS and other analytical/spectroscopy techniques.
They are a very stable company and have been in the market for over 60 years. A great opportunity to grow in a flourishing team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will perform typical sales duties such as territory planning, customer visits and product presentations to support sales activity.
- To grow the territory’s business, generate sales and achieve agreed financial targets.
- Work extensively with their Spectroscopy portfolio including FTIR, UV/VIS, Raman and Circular Dichroism across Massachusetts.
- Proudly represent the company's brand and guarantee outstanding customer experience; ensuring new business enquiries are actioned promptly, customer quotations are provided efficiently and supporting product demonstrations.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Previous spectroscopy sales experience and/or in-depth technical spectroscopy expertise in FTIR, UV/VIS or Raman essential.
- Chromatography background/knowledge would be an advantage, especially HPLC.
- Skills normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree (B.S. /B.A.)in life science, Chemistry (Preferred) or another scientific background
Additional job abilities:
- Can perform independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to travel within assigned geography (30-40%).
- Ability to instil customer satisfaction that is recognizable and valuable to the customer.
- Proficient computer skills.
