Overview:
Machine Operator is an entry level position that reports to the Production Supervisor. This Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating press brakes and may also include the safe operation of other machines such as band saw, shears, and ironworkers in order to assist the production team in completing customer orders per the direction of their supervisor. It is essential the Machine Operator promotes a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.

This Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating press brakes and may also include the safe operation of other machines such as band saw, shears, and ironworkers in order to assist the production team in completing customer orders per the direction of their supervisor. It is essential the Machine Operator promotes a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.
Essential Duties:
- Safely operate press brakes
- As needed, safely operate band saw, shears, and ironworkers
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Aids with general assembly in fabrication department
- Moves materials through the operation of cranes, forklifts and/or pallet jacks
- Assist co-workers and the department supervisor with meeting production targets
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
- Take on other duties as necessary to achieve company goals
- Experience operating press brakes is a plus, but not required. Novia is willing to train a willing and motivated individual on the press brakes
- Ability to read a tape measure up to 16ths
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and efficiently
- Solid communication skills
- Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
