Novipax is seeking a Research Associate to join the Corporate Research and Development team. This position, located at the El Paso, Texas manufacturing site, will provide support to new and existing products through trials, research and development of materials, products, and new market endeavors. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, performance, and efficacy of our products. This position involves collaborative work across multiple departmental teams including Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, New Business Development, and Sales. This collaborative environment will allow you to expand your knowledge and skills while making meaningful contributions to our organization and our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :
- Support, oversee, and report on trials for new and existing products. Collect data and provide feedback relating to raw materials, quality, specifications, Build of Materials (BOMs) and inline process ability.
- Prepare technical reports, formulate and analyze manufacturing data
- Support updates to BOMs at all sites relating to raw materials and labor requirements
- Capable of creating and / or updating Excel formulations and templates as needed for R&D calculations, formatting, and design
- Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Follow and execute protocols and procedures for analyzing new and existing products and materials.
- Assist in construction of new products through material testing, small batch prototyping, and other R&D problem solving
- Maintain meticulous records of testing and results for various materials and products.
- Occasionally carry out experimental designs for sponsored research projects under supervision.
- Record and compile accurate records and communicate summaries of experimental results.
- Assist with the evaluation, interpretation and assessment of experimental data.
- Participate in meetings with the cross functional teams to evaluate / interpret data validity and next steps, as needed.
