Job Title: Associate Account Director – Architecture and Design
Job Description
This role will be responsible for driving client success through strategic planning, media relations, content development, and performance measurement. Your leadership will drive the success of the team, comprising staff at various levels (Junior Account Executive, Account Executive, and Senior Account Executive) while supporting the Vice President to ensure client deliverables are not only met but exceeded. You will lead the execution of comprehensive PR strategies, manage client relationships, cultivate media connections, and oversee the daily workflow of junior staff. Your role will involve staying updated on industry trends, attending events, crafting compelling communication materials, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective campaign execution and reporting. Knowledge of the architecture and industry is essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive PR strategies aligned with business objectives and target audiences.
- Lead the execution of publicity campaigns, including media relations, content development, and events.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments.
Client Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, nurturing strong relationships.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Present at weekly client meetings, review call agendas, and recap notes.
- In collaboration with the Vice President, set and review KPIs, and manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
Media Relations:
- Cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with relevant media contacts, journalists, and influencers with an emphasis on architecture and design.
- Develop and execute effective media relations strategies to secure positive coverage.
- Stay updated with the ever-evolving media landscape.
Content Development:
- Create compelling content tailored to client needs, including press releases, pitches, blog posts, white papers, and social media content.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop multimedia assets supporting PR initiatives.
- Review and edit award submissions, research projects, media pitches, and social media content.
Events and Visibility:
- Secure and lead press delegations.
- Identify and secure speaking, thought leadership, and award opportunities for clients.
- Plan and execute special events for clients, garnering strong media attendance and buzz.
- Attend networking events, seminars, and conferences to build contacts.
- Stay up-to-date on professional associations and their missions to develop industry knowledge.
- Support agency activities by attending other team's client events.
Project / Team Management:
- Record hours spent on client projects in time-tracking software daily.
- Update team to-do list in advance of weekly meetings.
- Review LOAs with the team to ensure hours are being spent properly and the terms of the clients’ scope are being met.
- In collaboration with the Vice President, manage and mentor Junior Account Executives, Account Executives, and Senior Account Executives to ensure quality work is being delivered efficiently.
- Schedule regular internal check-in meetings to align team members on goals and foster creativity.
- Mentor team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Review monthly reports for accuracy and provide strategic commentary.
- In collaboration with the Vice President, present results to clients regularly, including quarterly or bi-annual reviews.
Requirements:
- 5 years of PR experienceExcellent writing skills, highly detail orientated
Location:
Minimum 3 days a week in office in New York
