We are seeking a skilled and passionate Brew Master to join our innovative team at NOVO L.L.C. Responsibilities
- Brewing Oversight: Manage the brewing process from start to finish, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes. Monitor fermentation, taste-test batches, and adjust as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and Shift Leaders to coordinate production schedules and ensure seamless store operations. Assist where needed across the team.
- Quality Control: Test and verify the quality of brewed products, addressing any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment or brewing challenges, thinking proactively to minimize downtime and uphold NOVO’s standards.
- Inventory Management: Track brewing supplies (e.g., grains, hops, yeast), report shortages to management, and assist with ordering and restocking.
- Operational Support: Step in to support other areas of the store—whether cleaning, assisting with customer inquiries, or troubleshooting—as needed to keep everything running smoothly.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and sanitary brewing area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Obtain a valid Food Handlers Certificate within the first 30 days and maintain a valid Food Protection Manager Certificate.
- AI Utilization: Use basic AI tools (NOVO currently uses Grok) to optimize brewing processes or track production data as directed by management.
- Customer Engagement: Share knowledge of brews with staff and customers, promoting specials or new offerings to enhance sales and excitement.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in brewing, food production, or a related field is required. Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Skills:
- Brewing Expertise: Strong knowledge of brewing techniques, ingredients, and equipment maintenance.
- Communication: Clear verbal skills to collaborate with team members and educate staff/customers about products.
- Efficiency: Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Problem Solving: Quick to address brewing or operational issues with creative solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring ingredients, monitoring batches, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy supplies (e.g., grain bags), and performing moderate physical tasks.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; brewing-related certification or training is a bonus.
- Certifications: Must obtain a valid Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire and possess or obtain a valid Food Protection Manager Certificate.
- Tech Savvy: Basic understanding of AI tools (e.g., Grok) for operational support.
- Language: English (Required).
Additional Information
- Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $18 to $24 per hour, based on experience and performance. Brew Masters participate in the tip pool.

3-Shift Schedule: Weekdays:
- Morning: 6:15am - 11:00am (4.75 hours)
- Afternoon: 11:00am - 4:00pm (5 hours)
- Evening: 4:00pm - 7:45pm (3.75 hours)
Weekends:
- Morning: 7:15am - 11:00am (3.75 hours)
- Afternoon: 11:00am - 4:00pm (5 hours)
- Evening: 4:00pm - 7:45pm (3.75 hours)
2-Shift Schedule:Weekdays:
- Morning: 6:15am - 1:00pm (6.75 hours)
- Afternoon: 1:00pm - 7:45pm (6.75 hours)
