Essential Functions
Responsible for local site IT Security Procedure ComplianceTranslates the needs & requirements of Novo Nordisk businesses & functions into IT solutionsIdentifies IT gaps & recommends strategic technical solutions to meet those IT & / or business needsEnsure that installation, troubleshooting, qualification & validation of equipment & systems meets objectives & requirementsLeads IT efforts as work package owner on site projects & leads internal & external IS Analysts working on projectsProvides mentoring & technical guidance to IS AnalystsProvides IT Governance for IT InfrastructureAnalyzes, plans, & audits the IT systems supportedResponsible for providing the Disaster Recovery Plan any new IT systems implementedAnnual Disaster Recovery Testing for any supported systemsProvide ad-hoc production support & after-hours support to the siteFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field from an accredited university requiredMay consider an Associate’s degree in information technology or related field from an accredited college with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in information technologyMay consider a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of nine (9) years of experience in information technologyMinimum of five (5) years’ experience in information technology experience required, pharmaceutical industry preferredPractical experience in implementing & administering infrastructure systems with more than 500 end users a plusExperienced professional in active directory, virtualization, storage, server administration, remote desktop services, networking, & / or disaster recovery requiredCertification in an infrastructure services, security, or networking discipline (e.g. MSCE, Security ) requiredSpecific knowledge of Microsoft networking principles & concepts requiredExperience authoring IT proposals, requirements, & specifications requiredTrouble-shoot, diagnose, resolve & document IT infrastructure systems preferredCreate, implement, & ensure adherence to strategic IT solution strategies preferredEstablish, enforce & maintain IT infrastructure policies & procedures preferredOperate infrastructure systems under FDA regulations & guidelines as they relate to computer-based information & automation systems preferredCoordinate computer system operation & administration tasks of multi-user computer & communications systems, including user security administration, training, backup, restoration, system software updates, performance monitoring, problem determination & resolution preferredExperience in backing up & restoring systems preferredMaintain infrastructure documentation in accordance with federal, corporate, & local requirements preferredMaintain & update the IT disaster recovery plan for supported systems preferredPerform life-cycle system development tasks for IT infrastructure preferredProvides IT infrastructure security governance preferredAssists management with coordinating & prioritizing activities of IT infrastructure team preferredDemonstrates leadership skills; act as project lead or work package owner & lead cross functional project teams in the development & implementation of programs preferredKnowledge of project management & the development life cycle requiredPerform project implementation & management tasks, including needs assessment, market surveys, design specification development, system implementation & training for various information technology, telecommunication technology projects in accordance with established procedures preferredAssure all system documentation is up to date prior to rollout & compliant with requirements preferredHas the ability to influence others on objectives & projects outcomes preferredEstablish & operate within IT infrastructure cost center & project budgets preferredDemonstrates superior written & oral communication skills preferredDevelops & maintains strong internal relationships preferredParticipate in corporate infrastructure guidance groups preferredResponsible for firewall security & remediation preferredPerforms security risk assessments as required preferredConducts vendor security assessments for new vendors per standard security procedures preferredResponsible for ensuring the security of the server rooms, IDFs, & IT labs preferredPerforms audits via QAP on access control of administrative accounts preferredIdentifies gaps with SLAs with external vendors / corporate preferredWorks with system managers to identify gaps in SARBOX & GMP data protection preferredStrategic IT Project planning and site support preferredWe commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
