The Position
The Technical Product Manager is driven by a customer-centric mindset to meet business goals by leading the development of new technology solutions.
The Technical Product Manager will play a vital role in realizing strategy, roadmap, and execution of key capabilities across a suite of products and solutions that align with business goals and serve our customers.
It is a role that requires cross-functional collaboration with product managers, product owners and development teams to develop and support a product.
Relationships
Reports to Director / Associate Director of Business Applications, Information Technology and collaborates with architects and development teams in Information Technology for solution delivery.
Essential Functions
- Execute and manage product vision defined by product owners
- Work with stakeholders – mainly product owners and product managers - to establish and manage the product roadmap
- Analyze customer requirements, build, prioritize and maintain product backlog
- Evaluate, handle / mitigate technical risks on an ongoing basis
- Assess new products to measure their potential value and conduct capability analysis regularly
- Align with stakeholders, implementers and Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure product viability
- Create success criteria for testing and product acceptance
- Be an evangelist and subject matter expert to the suite of products and solutions
- Understand several perspectives in the development process including technology dependencies, needs of the user, capabilities of developers, vision of the stakeholders and assess where product(s) stand in the market from a competitive standpoint
- Work with very limited direction. Determines technical objectives of the assignment / project
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
