Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Lathe/Swiss Setup Machinist/Programmer to join our team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes and Swiss-style machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate has experience with both conventional and multi-axis Swiss turning centers and is proficient in CNC programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and Swiss-style turning machines according to engineering specifications.
- Create and modify CNC programs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work orders to ensure precision machining.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, collets, and fixtures for various operations.
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine parameters to optimize production and reduce scrap.
- Maintain machine upkeep, tooling inventory, and a clean work environment.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to improve machining processes and efficiency.

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a CNC Lathe/Swiss Machinist and Programmer.
- Proficiency in programming and operating lathes and Swiss-style machines.
- Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials (stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience with multi-axis machining and live tooling.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- CNC certification or relevant technical training.
