About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated educator to join our team as a Special Education Teacher. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with students in the Autism Program - Communication & Adaptive Behavior Program, providing research-based instruction and support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction to address student instructional goals and objectives
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate special education services and develop individualized educational programs
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure seamless transitions and support
Requirements and Qualifications
- ISBE Professional Educator's License (PEL)
- Licensed Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) Endorsement
- Minimum one year of special education teaching experience preferred
