About the Role:
- Policies & Procedures - Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures
- Compliance Operations
- Product Development - advise product engineering team on existing and new products to mitigate regulatory and partner risk
- Marketing - review marketing materials for UDAAP and other regulatory concerns
- AML Program - audit AML program overall and provide targeted review based upon transaction monitoring escalations
- General Reporting - provide reports required by Compliance Framework, Risk Committee, and Company Policies
- People Operations - lead team of compliance/AML/BSA analysts
- Employee Training - provide training to employees and partners regarding their responsibilities with respect to the compliance program
- Customer and Bank Management; and
- Case manage customer compliance complaints and provide formal responses to such matters
- Manage bank partner(s) and provide support to regulatory examinations conducted on bank partner(s)
Requirements for the Role:
- Minimum of 5 years of US financial institution/banking experience
- Experience with Fintech and Partner Bank model, a plus
- Management/supervisory experience in compliance role a plus
- CAMS qualification (a plus)
- Entrepreneurial attitude and experience with, or the ability to adapt to, a rapidly growing start-up with associated complexities and ambiguities
- Effective project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects at any given point in time
- Must be a quick learner and possess leadership skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, work organization and multitasking skills with a drive for efficiency, accuracy and risk management controls required
- A convicted individual with strong regulatory opinions. Must be willing to stand up for and defend Novo’s interpretation of applicable law
Salary Range (NYC): $174,000 - 187,000 annualized salary. This range is not inclusive of discretionary bonus or equity package, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. The range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of New York City.
