Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Biotechnology Production Specialist to join our team at Novonesis. As a key member of our production operations, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and processes in our industrial biotechnology factory.
About the Role
Our Production Operators play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our production process. This involves preparing raw materials, troubleshooting equipment, operating plant processing computers, making minor repairs, replacing parts, and testing materials for quality and compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient computer literacy
- Physical abilities:
- Maintain mobility around the factory and outdoor surroundings, including pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting
- Lift up to 60 pounds unassisted
- Manipulate and use equipment and tools, such as turning valves and aligning hoses
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including uniform, hard hat, eye protection, ear protection, hair net, beard net, and respirator
- Climb stairs and work at heights, including ladders, platforms, and tanks
- Enter and work in confined spaces
Working Hours
The schedule for this role involves 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights every two weeks. The specific schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: Work Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Week 2: Off Monday and Tuesday, work Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an annual salary range of $53k to $55k, based on experience. Overtime opportunities are available, and we also provide a certification program for increasing base pay.
