Join us as our new Research Associate, Bioenergy R&D
We are seeking an energetic, results oriented, collaborative colleague to join our Bioenergy R&D team. As a Research Associate, you will work closely with highly experienced scientists to discover and develop enzyme and yeast products for Bioenergy applications and customers. In this role you will support developing near-term technologies and future looking Biofuel yeast and enzyme innovations.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Leveraging a solid understanding of how enzymes and yeast facilitate fermentation processes to develop products and meet customer needs
Executing experiments to develop yeast and enzyme products for Bioenergy applications
Thinking outside the box with an innovative and collaborative mindset
Being adaptive to an exciting and ever-changing industry processes and technologies
To succeed you must have:
BS in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related area
Experience with Biotechnology laboratory equipment and practices
Hands on experience testing biological samples for industrial applications (preferably enzyme &/or yeast) or experience in fermentation science
Experiences with ethanol fermentations would be a plus
Familiarity with automation, application based screening, &/or assay development
Experience with tools such as JMP, Tableau, and/or Python
A strong desire to learn and improve both analytical techniques and fundamental mechanistic knowledge
Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal and teamwork skills

Expected salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 base salary
