Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at Novul Solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work on complex network systems and ensure seamless operation.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and updating tickets using Remedy, monitoring network events and failures in real-time, analyzing and resolving alarms, identifying faults, and coordinating corrections. You will also support fault isolation and troubleshooting for network elements, correct and replace faulty network elements, and verify service restoration. Additionally, you will restore networks and services to full operation, coordinate with other providers as needed, provide updates on outages, and maintain situational awareness. Record and track incident tickets.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update tickets using Remedy
- Monitor network events and failures in real-time
- Analyze and resolve alarms
- Identify faults and coordinate corrections
- Support fault isolation and troubleshooting for network elements
- Correct and replace faulty network elements and verify service restoration
- Restore networks and services to full operation
- Coordinate with other providers as needed
- Provide updates on outages and maintain situational awareness
- Record and track incident tickets
Requirements
- High school diploma and 1-3 years of experience
- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security CE, or equivalent)
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operation
- Experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management
- Expertise in routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching
- Understanding of network topologies (transport and IP)
- Active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain Top-Secret clearance
- 100% Onsite in Scott AFB, IL

Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
