NOW CFO is seeking an experienced CFO to join our Seattle consulting team.
We are looking for a strategic, high-level CFO Consultant with a strong track record in helping growing companies scale efficiently and sustainably. This role is ideal for a finance executive who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working closely with ownership or leadership teams to drive operational and financial improvements. Non-profit industry experience is a significant bonus but not a requirement.
$100 per hour compensation.
Responsibilities:

Lead financial strategy, forecasting, and modeling to support business growth and scalability.

Build and implement strong financial infrastructure, systems, and controls tailored to each clients stage of growth.

Advise executive leadership and ownership groups on financial planning, business risks, and strategic opportunities.

Guide clients through budgeting, cash flow management, and capital planning processes.

Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, reporting, audits, and compliance.

Support fundraising efforts and investor relations where applicable.

Mentor and lead internal finance/accounting teams; help build high-functioning departments.

Drive process improvements and ERP system upgrades or transitions.

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (BS/BA/MBA)

Proven CFO or VP of Finance experience, ideally in growth-stage companies

Consulting experience preferred, but not required

Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills

Experience managing finance functions across multiple industries; non-profit experience a plus

CPA strongly preferred, but not required
