Chief Financial Officer

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced CFO to join our Seattle consulting team.

We are looking for a strategic, high-level CFO Consultant with a strong track record in helping growing companies scale efficiently and sustainably. This role is ideal for a finance executive who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working closely with ownership or leadership teams to drive operational and financial improvements. Non-profit industry experience is a significant bonus but not a requirement.

$100 per hour compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial strategy, forecasting, and modeling to support business growth and scalability.

• Build and implement strong financial infrastructure, systems, and controls tailored to each client’s stage of growth.

• Advise executive leadership and ownership groups on financial planning, business risks, and strategic opportunities.

• Guide clients through budgeting, cash flow management, and capital planning processes.

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, reporting, audits, and compliance.

• Support fundraising efforts and investor relations where applicable.

• Mentor and lead internal finance/accounting teams; help build high-functioning departments.

• Drive process improvements and ERP system upgrades or transitions.

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (BS/BA/MBA)

• Proven CFO or VP of Finance experience, ideally in growth-stage companies

• Consulting experience preferred, but not required

• Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills

• Experience managing finance functions across multiple industries; non-profit experience a plus

• CPA strongly preferred, but not required

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
