Pay:145,000-160,000
NOW CFO is seeking a controller to join our client's manufacturing company. The Controller will be a key strategic partner to the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This includes preparation and analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, managing finance activities, and managing the accounting staff. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the manufacturing sector and demonstrate a proven track record in managing financial activities. This position reports directly to the president of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement and monitor accounting policies, procedures and standards.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial statements to the executive management team in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set long-term business goals and strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
- Evaluate the manufacturing efficiencies of the company and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Work with operations to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained and related costs are recorded correctly.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities to optimize profitability.
- Oversee audits and manage relationships with auditors.
- Implement and uphold internal controls to protect company assets and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
- Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with financial institutions, auditors, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in senior accounting management role, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- ERP experience is a must and experience with Business Central Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
