A client of NOW CFO, a growing and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a full-time permanent Controller to join their team onsite in Englewood, Colorado. This is a key leadership role within a collaborative, high-performance environment that values independent thinking, communication, and cross-functional teamwork. In this role you would be directly hired by our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department, including AR, AP, and general ledger functions
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategy and business insights
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Supervise, mentor, and support the accounting team, fostering professional growth
- Oversee the monthly close process, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning with organizational goals
- Support ERP transition and leverage systems for improved processes
- Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices
- Support operations, sales, and leadership through financial insights and reporting
- Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives across accounting tasks
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in manufacturing industry
- Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred/Bonus Skills
- CPA, CMA, or CGMA designation
- Experience implementing or working with ERP systems
- Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to train and develop lower-level staff
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and add value across departments
- Effective communicator who can thrive in a cross-functional, team-based setting
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000
