Job Summary: Payroll Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in the Construction industry. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing state and federal tax reporting, including forms 940, 941, and IRS/State compliance. This role requires hands-on experience in payroll tax reporting and managing in-house payroll for a minimum of 300 employees. Union experience is a plus.
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute state and federal tax reporting, including forms 940 and 941.
- Ensure compliance with IRS and state payroll regulations.
- Oversee in-house payroll processing for at least 300 employees.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Provide support during payroll audits and inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience in payroll tax reporting.
- Hands-on experience managing in-house payroll for a minimum of 300 employees.
- Union experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
