Appellate Support Associate
Practice Area : Appellate and Trial Support
Location : Miami, FL 33101
Schedule : 3 / 2 Hybrid Schedule, 160 hours monthly target, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k), and a bonus structure tied to meeting billable hour requirements.
The Client :
An AmLaw 100 full-service firm with a nationally recognized Appellate Practice. This firm boasts an extensive appellate team, including several board-certified attorneys, handling high-stakes cases in both state and federal courts nationwide, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
Description :
The successful candidate will provide critical appellate and trial support, including evaluating trial records, drafting persuasive briefs, and conducting comprehensive legal research. Responsibilities also include framing factual and legal issues in light of appellate standards and presenting oral arguments in both state and federal courts. This role offers the chance to work with a distinguished national team and tackle a variety of complex legal challenges across multiple practice areas.
Qualifications :
- 7 years of experience as a licensed attorney
- 2 years in appellate law practice.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure.
- Proficiency in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
- Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
- Experience analyzing trial records and preparing appellate briefs.
- Ability to identify legal issues with a focus on appellate standards of review.
