Overview
Nowlogy Psychology Experts is hiring postdoctoral fellows/residents interested in joining a team of psychologists committed to delivering superior care that combines science and compassion. Note: We have sites in the Twin Cities, MN *AND* Cypress, TX.We are committed to helping train tomorrow’s psychologists. We believe that through continuous learning and application of research-based approaches to clinical settings, we can best help those we serve. We have found that many of our fellows then go on to join us as colleagues. really, we have pathways to support fellows who wish to stay on as employees, contractors, or open a Nowlogy clinic of their own.The group practice environment affords a number of benefits. As compared with private practice, group practices offer the ability to network with peers and colleagues. The group practice environment offers services like billing and administrative support, and built-in referrals. It is also typically more robust to financial pressures. When compared with large institutional settings (e.g., hospital systems), group practices may offer more flexibility, such as with scheduling and patient preferences. We offer training tracks in: Clinical Generalist, Mood Disorders, OCD/Anxiety/Trauma, LGBTQ Clientele Focus, and Child/Adolescent/Family Focus.
Responsibilities
- Opportunities for therapy, assessments, and a combination.
- Provide individual (and potentially group) sessions tailored to the needs of clients.
- Offer specialized care for clients with general presenting problems, as well as within your area of expertise.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Attend individual and group supervision meetings as required for licensure, with additional ad hoc training opportunities available
- Utilize telehealth platforms to reach patients who may benefit from remote services.
- Stay current with best practices in psychology and ongoing learning opportunities through continuous education and professional development.
Experience/Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution (U.S. or Canada), including successful completion of an internship training program.
- Experience utilizing telehealth services is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
