FABRICATION FOREMAN

Responsibilities

• Time management and allocation for multiple projects and tasks
• Shift management including opening and closing the shop
• Lead a morning power up team meeting and end of shift power down team meeting
• Material management ensuring the team has what is needed for their tasks
• Tool/machine management to support the work scope
• Quality Control of prefabricated products that are being built
• Develop and train the team with new skills, new equipment and processes in the shop
• Coaching team members to correct behavior, skills, and/or shortcomings
• Tracking performance of team members and hold monthly evaluations
• Safety compliance and accountability in the workplace, for yourself and the fabrication team

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of leadership experience
• Production/manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Ability to follow direction, both written and verbal
• Self-starter and motivated to learn
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Ability to read industrial manuals, blueprints and understand specifications
• Attention to detail in QC, processes and procedures
• Update/impact reports on production, schedules, and manpower
• Daily communication with direct reports professionally, individually and as a group

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• OSHA 10
• OSHA 30 (preferred)
