The Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County is seeking a Noxious Weed Consultant to join our team. The position is 40 hours per week and includes an attractive benefits package, as well as a provided work vehicle. Duties include, but are not limited to conducting noxious weed surveys and site inspections as prescribed in Chapter 17.10 RCW, notifying and interacting with landowners who are found to be out of compliance, answering citizen complaints and requests for assistance, identifying property locations and researching property ownerships, maintaining databases, and providing public education.
QUALIFICATIONS : A combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job is ideal. Applicant must have a valid Washington driver’s license, and must possess or be able to obtain a Washington State Public Operator license within 60 days from date of hire. Applicant must be a self-starter, have the ability to work alone, resolve conflict, identify weeds and be a team player.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Successful compliance with pre-employment drug test and pre-employment driver’s license check. To retain employment after date of hire, must pass federal background check.
STARTING SALARY : $1,760.00 bi-weekly
