- The Controller will play a key role on the corporate management team, overseeing the accounting department and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position involves managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger functions while maintaining adherence to accounting standards. The Controller will collaborate with operational teams, contribute to strategic initiatives, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial records and reports.
- Conduct month-end and year-end bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and support schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and board meeting reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
- Contribute to the successful completion of the annual financial audit, including collaboration with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Support ad-hoc projects, strategic initiatives, and business development opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as required to support company operations and goals.
- Qualifications :
- Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience managing an accounting department is required.
- Proven experience in financial audits and accrual accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial, cost, and managerial accounting principles.
- Familiarity with income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statement reviews.
- CPA designation or CPA eligibility is preferred.
