- Principal Process / Mechanical Engineer in Greenville, SC.
- As a
- Principal Process / Mechanical Engineer,
- you will lead the planning, design, and construction phases of multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with a focus on process and mechanical engineering systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects, including those in the nuclear sector.
- This is a long-term contract opportunity.
- Shift Information
- Monday Friday 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
- General Requirements
- Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding large teams through complex projects
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Preferred Requirements
- Experience in the nuclear industry is highly preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Familiarity with advanced mechanical systems design and equipment specifications
- Experience with P&ID development and construction document management
- Essential Functions
- Lead Project Teams :
- Provide technical direction to engineers and coordinate multi-discipline design and construction projects from inception to completion
- Technical Expertise :
- Oversee P&ID development, mechanical system design, and ensure the accuracy of engineering calculations
- Compliance :
- Ensure all engineering projects adhere to applicable codes, safety regulations, and best practices
- Design Review :
- Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents, making necessary adjustments to meet project specifications
- Supervisory Responsibility
- This position may supervise :
- Junior / Senior Engineers
- CAD Designers
- Project Coordinators
- Work Environment or Working Conditions
- Responsibilities may be performed in a combination of office and on-site environments, depending on project needs
- Must be comfortable working on construction sites and attending client meetings
- Physical Demands

- Travel

- Qualifications :
- Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required
- 15 years of experience in process / mechanical engineering, with expertise in design, estimation, and project management
- Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes, including Department of Energy (DOE) Orders
