Job description : Our client is a leader in the Battery separator business, and they needa Process Engineer.The Process Engineer will lead, and coordinate engineering projectsrelated to process improvement and problem solving and works closelywith other departments to implement projects.The Process Engineer will prepare and carry out approved projectsincluding equipment redesign and alterations; new equipmentspecification, installation and startup; and change of work procedures,methods, etc.The Process Engineer will plan equipment layout and workflow, estimatesrouting times and manpower requirements, sets up lines, and trainssupervisors and managers in correct production procedures for new orrevised production operationsThe Process Engineer will prepare cost estimates to implement changesfrom present to new methods; estimate expected savings resulting fromchanges.The Process Engineer will conduct special studies involved in terms ofmethods, time, manufacturing estimates on new and complex workResponsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing large-scale maintenance shutdownprojects.- Create and maintain drawings, diagrams, schematics, databases,records, files and other documentation pertinent to special andregular assignments performed.- Assist with instructing, training, and answering area-specificquestions for other personnel.- Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace at all plant levels.- Assist in developing new procedures, revising existing proceduresand maintaining compliance with established procedures as well asmandated state and federal guidelines.- Control expenditures within limitations of the project budget.- Contribute and accountable in obtaining all KPIs in assigned area.- Support the Plant Vision and make data-driven decisions focused onprevention- Set an example for daily rigor and attention to detail- Respond with urgency, setting high expectations for everyone in theplant- Understand the environmental impacts associated with work activitiesand the benefits of improved personal performance and EMSrequirements.
