Job description : As a Tax Director / Partner specializing in Professional Services, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic tax planning and consulting services to our clients within the Professional Services industry, such as law firms, PR & media. You will lead a team of tax professionals, providing expertise in navigating complex tax regulations, optimizing tax structures, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. This position requires a deep understanding of industry-specific tax issues, strong leadership skills, and the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
- RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and implement tax strategies tailored to the unique needs and objectives of professional services firms, including law firms, PR & media, and other service providers.
- Oversee tax compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local tax filings. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations impacting professional services firms.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to professional services clients, offering strategic tax advice, identifying opportunities for tax optimization, and addressing complex tax issues.
- Lead business development initiatives to expand the firm's client base within the professional services sector. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and industry influencers to drive revenue growth.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and supervision to tax professionals within the firm. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the tax practice.
- Assess and mitigate tax-related risks for professional services clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing exposure to tax liabilities.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by participating in industry conferences, and sharing insights on emerging tax trends impacting professional services firms.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness to client needs, and delivery of high-quality tax services. Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Experience :
- 12 years of experience in tax, with a focus on professional services industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to professional services firms.
- Experience leading and managing a team of tax professionals, including providing coaching and feedback.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and develop innovative tax planning strategies.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite.
